New website design for small businesses

A custom site planned around what your customers need to find and do, built to load fast and work on every phone.

Is this the right service?

A new build is the best fit when you're starting fresh.

  • You don't have a website yet.
  • You're launching a new business, brand or location.
  • You're on a DIY template you've outgrown.
  • You need a site that brings in calls, bookings or quote requests.

Already have a site that just needs work? A website redesign may be the better fit.

What's included

Every new site comes with the following. Extras like online booking or a store are quoted separately.

  • Planning and sitemap

The pages and what each one needs to do, mapped out before any design starts.

  • Custom design

Designed for your business and your customers, not adapted from a stock theme.

  • Mobile-first layouts

Every page designed for phones first, then tablets and desktops.

  • Help with your content

Your notes shaped into clear page copy, plus stock photos if you need them.

  • Contact tools

Forms, click-to-call, maps and booking links where they make sense.

  • SEO basics

Page titles, descriptions, headings, a sitemap and Google Search Console set up at launch.

  • Analytics

See how many people visit and what they do, from day one.

  • Speed and accessibility

Compressed images, lean code and readable contrast, so everyone can use your site.

  • Training

A short walkthrough so you can edit text and photos yourself.

  • Launch support

Domain, hosting setup and go-live handled, with fixes after launch if anything comes up.

Who does what

Most of the work is on our side. Here's what helps from yours.

We handle

  • Planning, design and development
  • Shaping your content into page copy
  • Hosting, domain and email setup
  • SEO basics, analytics and launch
  • Testing on phones, tablets and desktops

You bring

  • Your logo, if you have one
  • What you offer, who you serve and your prices
  • Photos of your work or team, if you have them
  • Access to your domain, if you already own one
  • A few hours to review designs and drafts

How it works

Four steps, and you'll see the price and a homepage mockup before you commit to anything.

  1. Free first conversation

By email, phone or video call, whichever you prefer. We learn about your business, your customers and what the site needs to do.

  2. Written plan, quote and mockup

Pages, features, timeline and price in writing, plus a mockup of your homepage. Nothing starts until you approve it.

  3. Design, then build

You approve the full design first. Then you get a working preview to test before launch.

  4. Launch and maintain

We launch your site and connect analytics, then keep it updated, backed up and secure every month.

Questions about new sites

Something else? Email hello@lucidmesa.design.

Do I need to write all the content?

No. Send what you have, even rough notes, and we'll shape it into clear page copy. You approve every word before launch.

What if I don't have photos?

Licensed stock photos work to start, and you can swap in your own later. Real photos of your team and work usually perform better, so we'll suggest what to shoot.

Can I update the site myself?

Yes. Every launch includes a short walkthrough on editing text and photos. If you'd rather not, a maintenance plan covers small edits.

What happens after launch?

The site is yours. Many clients add a maintenance plan so updates and backups are handled, or SEO to grow traffic. Neither is required.
